Saturday, April 30 was Victoria, BC’s day to participate in World Vegan Bake Sale and I wasn’t going to miss out! Hosted by Dave Shishkoff (vegancyclist on Twitter), and world-famous vegan cookbook author and activist Sarah Kramer (GoVeganDotNet on Twitter), many vegan bakers donated goodies towards the event. The goal was to raise $1,000 for Friends of Animals: they met and exceeded their goal!

Major koodos and many thanks to my brother for making my standing sign at the last minute! (btw, he’s the creator of my Char Star sun logo.) The sign sat perfectly behind my Char Stars…which were a hit!

mmmmmmmmmm <3 so many goodies to choose from! on the left is a picture of some of the goodies on the tables, and below…a picture of *some* of the treats I took with me My indulgences included chocolate whoopie pie, chocolate mint cookie, peanut brittle cookie, chocolate oatmeal cookie, red velvet cupcake, double chocolate cookie, rum ball, lemon square…and one of Dave’s delicious brownies, as well as Sarah’s amazing coconut chocolate chip cookies & buttertarts!!

After the bake sale, Dave and Sarah drew names for the raffle. There were lots of prizes given away, including a grand prize of a parasailing adventure!!

I won a gift certificate to Hemp & Company!! :D

And my lil bro won a tub of berry-flavoured Vega, as well as some sample packets of Vega Sport! He was pretty stoked.
